How to do it

Find out how financial spread betting works

Spread Betting and CFDs are high risk leveraged products. Losses can exceed your initial deposit. They are not suitable for everyone, so ensure you understand the risks.

Financial spread betting and Contracts for Difference (CFDs) are derivative products (like an option or futures contract). This means you can have an interest in the price movement of an asset, without having to buy it. However, there are key differences (see table).

There's also FX trading, which allows you to trade currencies.

Please note: you need a spread bet or CFD account to trade Foreign Exchange.
